About Me
Klaus Wilder is my birth name, and I was born in 1952 on the island of Fehmarn in Germany. In 1977, I became the world champion in windsurfing and ran a windsurfing shop in Denmark. After completing my studies in wood science at the University of Hamburg, I emigrated to the United States and opened my second sporting goods store in Florida in 1983. In 1991, at the age of 39, I began my acting career in Hollywood.

I am best known as Nick Wilder for my role as ship’s doctor Dr. Wolf Sander in the ZDF series Das Traumschiff and Kreuzfahrt ins Glück (2011 – 2020). Other series I appeared in include the RTL action series S.O.S. Barracuda (1997–2002) and the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante. I also played roles in the Hollywood classics Stargate and The Bourne Supremacy.
